Tenants, residents, guests and vendors

Everyone lives in People: tenants, residents, short-term guests, applicants, vendors and housing authorities.

Go to People to see everyone in your book. Each person has a kind: tenant, resident, guest, applicant, vendor, or housing authority and other payers.

Why the kind matters

Tenants and residents attach to leases and program agreements. Guests attach to bookings. Vendors get assigned to work orders. Housing authorities and program funders are payers on a lease, so their share of the rent is tracked separately from the tenant's.

One person, one record

When an applicant is approved they become a tenant on the same record, so their application, lease, payments and requests all stay together on one timeline.
